Stability starts with housing. We believe that with this most basic of needs taken care of, our residents can find a new sense of freedom to get on top of other aspects of their lives, whether they be related to health or past traumas, reestablishing their support network, attending school, training or work, adopting healthier lifestyles, or any of the myriad other tasks we all take for granted.
Hope Housing's founder realized when a disabled relative had trouble finding accomodation that there existed gaps between our current social safety net and market-rate tenancy. He quickly found out that the need was greater than he thought, with many of our most vulnerable falling through the cracks into predatory rental agreements, unsafe and illegal housing, involvement with the legal system, or even homelessness. Hope Housing looks to expand its real-estate holdings to service an ever greater number of such people.
