About Us
Freedom Through Housing

Stability starts with housing. We believe that with this most basic of needs taken care of, our residents can find a new sense of freedom to get on top of other aspects of their lives, whether they be related to health or past traumas, reestablishing their support network, attending school, training or work, adopting healthier lifestyles, or any of the myriad other tasks we all take for granted.

Society's Most Vulnerable

Hope Housing's founder realized when a disabled relative had trouble finding accomodation that there existed gaps between our current social safety net and market-rate tenancy. He quickly found out that the need was greater than he thought, with many of our most vulnerable falling through the cracks into predatory rental agreements, unsafe and illegal housing, involvement with the legal system, or even homelessness. Hope Housing looks to expand its real-estate holdings to service an ever greater number of such people.

What We Do
Residential Housing

We operate a numer of small, multi-unit buildings to house our clients. Utilities and other ammenities may not be included in rent and are up to the resident to pay.

Property Management

We will perform the repair and maintenance tasks, as well as ones such as work outside and landscaping tasks, that are required under regulation or by your tenancy agreement.

Reasonable Enjoyment

We work to ensure your reasonable enjoyment of your unit and the building's common spaces. If undue disruptions due to other tenants prevent this, we can investigate and act.

What We Do Not Do
Case Management

While we want to know that our residents are well and direct them to resources if not, we do not do any formal case management and it is up to the resident and their team to contact us if our input is required.

Non-Housing Support

While we work with many social service agencies and organizations, we do not do any support beyond basic housing. We do not have assisted living facilities, and will direct clients in need or crisis to more appropriate avenues for support.

Temporary Stays

We neither operate as a shelter nor offer emergency or temporary accomodation. We house clients in a more permanent capacity, when units are available, and once all requisite paperwork such as a lease are completed.
